    Is this a possible billing technique for movie paysites?

    Don't bill the member monthly, but let him purchase a certain amount of bandwidth, along with the monthly subscription.

    If the bandwidth runs out, or the month is over, rebill him.

    Easynews runs this billing method for their newsgroups. They offer you to automatically rebill a certain X amount of times or they prompt you when you hit the limit if you don't have auto-rebilling enabled.

                  Obviously that would only work for paysites with heaps and tons of vid material. The surfer would keep on downloading and downloading, and even hit the limit earlier than at the month's end.

                      Im sure DRM pay per view, or sms billing methods will have alot to say about that.

                                  there was a very large movie paysite back in the late 90's that was doing this.
