Look at the area he was from, and the colour of the skin of the people who live there now.

Given the number of nomadic people who have constantly conquered/re-conquered that region he was probably quite a mix. You probably couldn't classify him as what we would refer to as a modern day Jew, Palestinian, African, etc.

if Jesus the person existed this image is probably within the realm of possibility.

he would have looked nothing like the angelic figure with anglo features and light skin popularized by the famous painting done by an englishman early in the 20th century.

and if you understand the culture, and have had any business dealings with arabs, that's pretty close to a black man.

Christianity is a concept, and a good one. the 10 commandments, all pretty good stuff.

but i don't believe in miracles written by camel jockeys.
