    QMail, anyone using it?

    If so what kind of delivery rate are you getting? emails per hour. My programmer is telling me 50,000 max an hour, is that true or can it go faster?

    We are looking for a mailer(s) to integrate our new tracking software with. If you have something please give me a url where I can check it out.

    Also I'm looking to hire someone that has experience in this area.

      we use it for mailing our affiliates, but as we don't have 50,000, I have never given it the stress test

              hmm I think I used to do about 100k / hour
              setup a nameserver on that box to cache lookups that might speed it up a bit
              I assume u already using the concurrency remote patch to up the remote processes?


              if you call qmail-remote direct from a script or something you can deliver in parallel

                  1. Setup a seperate server running dnscache

                  2. run different qmail installations on different hard drives on the box.

                  There are a few kernel tweaks you can do to maximize your sending rate as well.

                  Well... there are lots of tips & tricks now that I think of it.

                          I've done as many as 800k/hr using qmail.

                          contact inter7.com they support qmail. Have them set it up and tweak it for maximum delivery

                                  i thought their product uses their own delivery system and not qmail
