    "The chairmen of two Hollywood studios said they would avoid working with Gibson because of the film, which he directed and financed, and his comments surrounding its release, the New York Times reported yesterday. "

    "One of the studio chairmen, who asked for anonymity, told the newspaper: "It doesn't matter what I say. It'll matter what I do. I will do something. I won't hire him. I won't support anything he's part of. Personally that's all I can do."

                                                                          The Canadian Jewish community didn't seem to have a problem with the movie. They said something like "There's no reason to create tension because of this movie" and they where interviewing a Rabbi who didn't seem to mind this movie at all and said that Jews who are complaining about it are exaggerating.

                                                                                              The film took in roughly $26 million on Wednesday (yesterday). It was produced for $30 million and another $15 million was spent on marketing. In any case half the costs are already covered and it will definitely gross over $200 million domestically not to mention what it will do world wide. It's also nice that everyone can get the same effect since all you need to change is the subtitles, no need to ever re-dub it.

                                                                                              Anyway, I saw the film last night, it was very graphic, certainly more so than any other film that I can remember. I can't say Im against or for it. And I wasn't one of the people that was really moved, although it was touching to see how much someone suffered for someone else.
