    Macedonian President's Plane Crashes

    MACEDONIAN PRESIDENT'S PLANE CRASHES
    A plane carrying Macedonian President Boris Trajkovski has crashed in mountainous terrain in southern Bosnia, a government source says.
    Asked about reports that the president's plane had crashed, he told Reuters: "Yes. Somewhere near Stolac."
    Stolac lies amid mountains east of Croatia's Adriatic port of Dubrovnik.
    "The president was in the plane with several staff members. We have no word on survivors. A chopper is on its way," the source said.

    US officials earlier reported air-traffic controllers had lost contact with the plane which was carrying the President to an international conference in Bosnia.

The plane carrying our president and a small deligation crashed 20 miles from the landing field in Mostar (Bosnia). Possible reasons for the crash are the:

                                                                                                                      - bad weather, fog and high humidity
                                                                                                                      - bad signalling equipment on the Mostar's Airfield for emergency/bad weather situations
                                                                                                                      - possible terrorist act (from the radar tower they say they heard a loud bang while talking to the pilots right before the crash)

                                                                                                                                                                              - bad signalling equipment on the Mostar's Airfield for emergency/bad weather situations
