Barring an incredible "October Suprise" or a big screw up on Kerry's part, Bush will follow in his father's foot steps as a one term president.
I say this based not only on tonight's debate, in which Bush acted & talked like Gomer Pyle for most of the debate with little substance which allowed Kerry to be a runaway winner, coupled with the latest poll numbers out today in the battle ground states.
In Oregon, Kerry has opened up a 6 point lead.
In Ohio, Kerry now has a 4 point lead (he had been DOWN by 5 points 1 week ago).
In Pennsylvania, Kerry has a 7 point lead.
In Iowa, it's dead even at 47% each.
In Wisconsin Kerry has opened up a 3 point lead.
In Minnesota Kerry has opened up a 2 point lead.
And in Florida, it is NOW a tie at 48% each (Bush had been leading by 4 points 1 week ago).
So as you can see, Kerry has gained in EACH of these battleground states (Haven't looked up Colorado, New Mexico and Arizona yet).
And maybe most importantly:
"A tracking poll by the Zogby International group showed Kerry, the four-term senator from Massachusetts, with a three-point edge at 47-44 percent heading into the final stretch of an acrimonious, marathon campaign."
Zogby has been the most accurate poll in national elections since the year 2000.
And latest overall approval rating of Bush stands at just 44%. His LOWEST EVER since he became President. No president has ever been re-elected with a favorability standing of less than 50%.
YES!!
