I give quite often, usually once or twice per year (in addition to storing blood for myself and my family)
Usually, it doesn't phase me, but one time I got really light headed and fell while leaving the center
another time the bitch drawing the blood missed with the needle and burst a vessl causing part of my arm to turn all green and yellow (cleared up after a couple days though) -

Feel bad though, I went with my friend Jenny because it was her first time also. She passed out 5 minutes in and didnt give out enough blood

Donating's cool, it gives me a buzz to know that my blood could be saving someone's life. It's weird, I'm not squemish about blood at all, but everytime I give blood it makes me feel really faint... the whole process is kind of cleansing though.Comment

I hate the feeling of the needle going into the inside of the elbow, where they take the blood, I dont mind needles anywhere else but that just shits me, I dont know why. Good for you for doing it though.

I used to give blood a few times a year, but when I started my back tat project, I was told I had to wait a few years after my lst tat is done, before I could donate again.
