very important, you get tons of small ideas that overtime add up to more money, ideas on how people sell their product, you discover new marketing options, things that a 5000 page book wont be able to teach.
Plus its a great way to do business with others, think of how many things in this business started with 2 people meeting on a message board (sometimes bad stuff too)
