I've been skateboarding since 1988 and I have seen some shit. Most of which a helmet wouldn't have done shit. It's usually your other extremities that take the blunt of damage.when in doubt...don't whip it out!

Head injuries definitely suck so wear a helmet but you are much more likely to break an arm or leg because thats usually what hits the ground first, your limbs flail out and depending on what makes contact first and how the rest of your body is travelling, you end up with some really twisted shit. pun intended.
