Trouble With Youth Today

I brought this up on another board and there were "intelligent" webmasters who debated saying that nothing has really changed in the way kids act today as opposed to how they acted years ago.

You'd have to be a fucking fool to not see it...a fucking fool.

This country is on a downard spiral to hell.

Part of the problem is naming your kids shit like "Thanica."

Give me a fucking break...life is difficult enough with "normal" names...then you got fools having kids and making up shit.

That is absolutely not average. It all boils down to respect. How much you have for others, your parents, and yourself.

thats insane they're must be more to the story she must have been beaten or raped as a young child for her to have that much rage against her parents, GOD HELP US ALL

The sad part is they aren't always beaten or physically abused. They are not taught to have respect for anything, themselves or others...... they aren't taught right from wrong, cause and effect...... NOTHING! We live in an age where Parents are more worried about careers and such than what we are doing to our children by not spending the time it takes to TEACH them respect, loyalty, and so on.

I have 4 kids, and NO, I am not the perfect parent.... not by NO stretch of the word, and I am hard on my kids about some things. RESPECT being the number one thing to make my blood boil where they are concerned. BUT me and their dad have earned their respect and we respect THEM as humans, not just a fucking tax break or some accident that happened while we had sex one night.

PARENTS piss me off more than just about anything there is today. They have latchkey kids, they set them in front of the TV, throw money at them without them having to EARN it..... buy them things to shut them the hell up and leave THEM alone...... and what is the result? THAT 12 YEAR OLD GIRL RIGHT THERE!!!!!
So no, and I could be wrong, but chances are she wasn't abused in the way WE think she may have been, but she was abused in other ways..... being allowed to roam at will without ANY type or form of discipline when she desperately needs it, or inconsistant discipline, is JUST as bad in my opinion.

I knew I wasn't soooo bad as a mom when my oldest daughter came to me a year ago (and we were strict on her about some shit, and she thought we were the anti-christ the whole time she was here) but that kid came to me and THANKED me for being hard on her, said she wouldn't be where she is today without it.

Kids have to be taught, they can't teach themselves, and they DO want the discipline, they DO want us to care enough to take the time to teach them right from wrong..... they DO want it. FUCK being the "good parent", TEACH THEM!!!!!

Sorry I went off on a rant, but things like this really make my blood boil something horrible. I am not saying Mom deserved to be shot, but my god, when will people wake up and see what these kids WANT? They want us to CARE, and giving them cash and everything they want isn't showing them we care, it's showing them JUST the opposite!!
