Changes at ARS: Sign of times to come?

Marc De, in a thread posted a while back, noted the decline in rebills, rise of popup blockers, increased VISA CB vigilance and other factors that prompt a rethinking of the PPS model.

Now that ARS RI has been launched and some of you have seen their new model, care to critique this model? Or is a better approach to the recent changes facing the industry to be found in another model(s)?

The question that begs to be asked: where are you going to move it to if the factors that ARS' restructuring seeks to address completely overwhelms other sites?

Probably a safe bet would be:

      1) lower payouts

      2) increase focus on microniche sites

other sponsors will be fighting over our traffic, we'll eventually find out which one is willing to give us the best deal / most money

i'll probably start moving more traffic towards tcg, maxcash, topbucks, etc. if it doesn't work out with ARS

          here's my hunch

back in the day, ppl had pps because they know retention was there. also coz of the cross and upsales.

now a days, its harder to retain and more are counting on cross and upsales to pay in pps.

so either u offer less by revsharing bad paysites or u gilette with pps sponsors.
          Someone finds you...

But shaving can only take a company so far. Easy to detect with honest traffic stats.... unless those are shaved as well.
