    I just don't get it.

    Please help me understand this about utility companies:

    Locally we have ONE power company, ONE phone company, ONE water company, and ONE gas company.

    ALL of them pay for TV, Radio, and Print ads.

    These idiots jack up thier rates and make our bills higher so that they can afford more advertisements. How fucking dumb do you have to be to see that this is a huge waste of financial resources? It's not like they need to sell themself over the competition. What's the fucking deal?

    On the other hand...We have 3 garbage companies and I have never seen a single ad for even one of them.

              The Phone company tries to sell us more services, but the others advertise for name recognition I guess.
