                                      I say may the best man (or at some point, woman) win. If the dems can't come up with the best man for the job, then fuck em. A monkey should be able to beat Gee Dubya, but there is a serious question as to the likelihood of anyone in the current running being able to beat Bush. In many people's eyes the man has done some serious good along with the bad, so....... at least let freedom of speech rein here on THIS board, if anywhere.



                                      Having said that, I'll close by saying this: If you don't get out and exercise your right to VOTE on election day, it is my opinion that you then give up your right to bitch about your fucking government. Don't vote, then shut the fuck up.

                                                  I dunno man, the smears have started and Kerry's pulling through well. They said he cheated on his wife, you saw how quick that went. There was the doctored photo of him and fonda, quickly proven false. If anything these things are making Kerry look like an honest guy. Dean can't handle himself under pressure and neither can Bush. Bush is still fighting the allegations of not showing up when he was in the guard, he's been a drinker and a cokehead, and his use of half truths throughout his presidency have really gone against him in the public eye. Even pro-war people admit that it would have been alot better if he just stood up and told the truth. Not like he wouldn't have gone on to do whatever he did anyway.

                                                      You know I like you man but I've always felt that logic was totally ignorant. Voters are actually in the minority in the US, the system is so bad and so corrupt that most people don't care, the only people that vote are the people who expect something. Most people and that means the majority know it doesn't matter. The system is corporate dominated by career politicians and participating in it won't reform it.

There are what, 80 million eligible voters in the U.S. right now, and only about 20 million of them actually vote. If even half of those that didn't vote in the last election actually got off their fat asses and out to a polling station they damn well WOULD make a difference. You know that in some states Bush won by less than 50,000 votes??

                                                                                                                      This is the age-old question regarding the vote... people saying "well, what good is my one lone vote? What difference can it make?" The truth is, your vote is one of the most precious rights you possess. I am adamant about the point that if you don't vote, you have ZERO right to bitch about the government. Cast your vote and then at least you've done your part to create the change you desire. Don't worry about whether or not others have "given up" or if they think things are "hopless"... exercise your right to vote, period.

Out of the crop that started rallying for votes I quickly picked him to be the one who would eventually lead the pack, and that has come to pass. The question is, is he strong enough to beat Gee Dubya?
