    Does your laptop do this?

Does your laptop display have a "brightness gradient" going from top to bottom, if thats what you would call it. Basically no matter what way I look at the screen it's always brighter on the bottom and darker on top. Its very annoying , have to keep changing the angle of the display depending on what Im looking at. This normal for laptops?

Try hooking your laptop to a monitor, that will show you if the problem is with the screen or the laptop itself.

It could be dependant on the viewing angle of the screen, but you're saying you've adjusted it and it always looks that way...

Chances are the screen itself is beginning to crap out. Odd that it's uniformly gradual like that, though. If you're still under warranty, give the manufacturer a call.

unless it's an older one, any of the ones made in the last few years you should be able to see from just about any angle and the colors should stay uniform..
