I don't think he deserves 25 years, he definitely needs to be commited to a mental instituion however.

What we need is a system where if a schizophrenic commits a crime he can be given the option of mandatory meds, where he has to check in regularly with a psychiatrist and get monitored. Like probation, where failure to take meds would be a probation violation.
