There should be a small safety & responsibility test before allowing people to get on the internet, similar to a written driver's test.

The grammer in that email is so bad, I'm shocked anyone would fall for that.

I hate scams too, I just wish they would spell this one fishing instead of phishing. I would have chosen a different name if I knew it was going to become a scam. I might as well have named myself GoneRobbing or GoneStealing... Oh well...

"phish" has been used as the standard name for that sort of shit way back to the start of the AOL scamming days.

When I first saw your nick I thought you were just very bold and was involved in that line of business

Yeah, I'm totally a band Phish fan. I just didn't realize that there was a form of scamming. It's nice to know that I must have made everyone think I was a crook with huge balls though.

I assure you this is in no way "powered by" or condoned by Jettis. We began seeing these email solicitations and websites start popping up approximately 10 days ago and have since involved our legal team and various government agencies.

The sites are not only involved in trademark infringement but, more importantly, credit card and bank fraud. Something we are obviously taking very seriously given our position as an IPSP.

If anyone happens to see more of these floating around who doesn't mind taking the time; please drop the details to [email protected]
