    .htaccess & 401 error

    Does anybody here use this

    ErrorDocument 401 http://www.domain.com/error/

    In their .htaccess file?

I was using it and it kept writing to the apache log file

    /usr/local/apache/logs/error_log

The fucking log was 5 gigs in size!

I removed the 401 from my .htaccess files and the "error_log" file doesnt grow at that insane pace.

    RewriteEngine on

    ErrorDocument 403 http://www.xxx.com/403.shtml
    ErrorDocument 404 http://www.xxx.com/404.shtml

    ---

You might want to add the actual file you're linking to at the end might be the cause of the problem.
