US2257 rules not in the USA

Hey guys we have some exclusive content being shot for us for some exciting new sites. Just wondering if anyone knows what the 2257 rules are for none USA residents? Do we have to have a contact in the USA to hold our 2257 records to sell via websites or is it just 2257 for dvd's or USA companies.

We have a USA company so we can process in the USA via epoch etc so i'm wondering if anyone knows whats required. I'm guessing if its sold in the USA via either web or dvd sales then it has to have its 2257 records in the USA

    Anyone know for sure?

No lawyer but if you are processing and/or shipping from U.S. - I know this - you gotta have it covered one way or the other.

If you have anything "U.S." - you best have it.

But it's relative to everyone else - do you need the actual records or just reference to custodian? Sounds like you just need to list custodian appropriately.

Consider this totally UNQUALIFIED even though we deal with this everyday.

A real good question is "Can international companies ship INTO U.S. without it?" (realitve to tangible products - VHS, DVD's, etc)

Local lawyer would be your best bet for accurate info, but personally, I'd do it anyway just to cover my ass. Why take the chance?
