You must be a member of AAB and post in this thread before the tournament to claim your cash prize. If you are not a register member of AAB you will forfeit your winnings and the next person will be bumped up accordingly on how they finished in the tournament.Comment

i don't like the rules either but they all seem to be doing it
requires you to be a member of their board usually with x number of posts or whatever.
makes sense i guess since it's supposed to be board tournaments, but since everyone is entering them all I think it's kind of silly to only give prizes to your board members.
i signed up for Brad's board and had to make 5 posts for a chance at the prize lolComment

Well, you need to look at it from the board's point of view. These tournaments are a reward for their faithful members and also a way to get new members to the board. Asking that you join the board in order to play in the tourney isn't really too much to ask.
If you don't like it, you can always choose not to play.Comment

How nice of you to come to GFY and complain. These tournaments are great for cross promotion and we like to give back to our loyal posters. Here were the rules. I don't know how more clear I can get with this...
"We are all set for the 3rd AAB Poker Tournament. 2-23-04 at 10:00 EST. We are giving away prize money and the winner will represent AAB in the battle of the boards tournament!
Tonight?s Poker Prizes and Rules!
The number of players in the tournament will equal the cash prize. (Up to $100)
1st place = Number of players up to $100
2nd place = Half of total players up to $50
3rd place = 1/4th of total players up to $25
