there is theory:
no race in the universe can get to the required technology level to be able to contact other races on other planets. because they discover very powerfull weapons enough to destroy them all way before they get to that level of technology. they lose control over it and either in a war in a terrorist attack, it kills them all...

You got it. I named him after Robert Heinleins kitty character in "The Cat Who Walks Through Walls" and in other books like "To Sail Beyond the Sunset".
Actually, we had our apartment re-piped and they didnt reseal the bath room wall, but we did not know. He crawled in and we had to pull him out from between the walls. We're second floor and it was really scarry for awhile after we found that he was in there. Touche.

Spider Robinson has recently brought Pixel back to life in his book "Callaghans Key"
If you like R.A.H. Then pick up any of the "Callaghans" series of books. He quotes Heinlein all over the place in his books.
