I was quoting you to address the people that were laughing --because your post should make them STFU. Maybe having to read it twice would make them think.

      Sorry for the confusion.

I contacted our attorney and we will be setting up a non-profit organisation in the next few days. Until than we will have pending status. I already bought a website and once everything is up and ready we will announce it.

Look guys and gals. This one hit home. I have known Shannon, she is 23 years old and beautiful at heart and mind. Like I said before, I don't know how else I could help.

But I will try my best to help anyway I can. We also had an offer for a free webdesign for the site.

Here is Shannon at a get-together at our house

              ######### UPDATE ###########

Dave would like to thank all of you as colleagues and friends for the concern and well wishes. He also asked that I give extra special thanks to those that have helped set up a trust to defray some of the immediate and near term expenses.

At this time Shannon is expected to remain in her comma until the 10th of March. The burn damage to her lungs is worst then expected. Over time they hope to slowly remove her from life support to try to determine the extent of the damages to her other organs.

Her burns cover over 60 percent of her body, mainly her upper body. Shannon has 3rd and 4th degree burns from her navel to her neck and 2nd and 3rd degree burns on face and arms.

Shannon?s survival rate has improved daily, but she has a long road ahead of her. Her family has set up a trust fund and has asked that in lieu of flowers and plants that donations, cards and prayers are forwarded to the trust.

Mine does not cover all of the burns, just the basic (amputation, skincrafting etc) Most Insurances quit covering 100% after a certain allotted amount, most only cover 50% of therapy after 6 month.

I am pretty familiar with Health Insurance, we have a great one, but we also have had our run-ins with them.

Talk about thousands and thousands and thousands of dollars for this kind of injury and watch and see how fast the Insurance Companies will back paddle
You said she has no health insurance, some health insurance is better than no health insurance.

There is no real excuse not to have health insurance. We have kaiser and for the both of us its only $300 a month. If you cant afford that get a pt job or find another line of work and make adult the part time job.
