    Will sig swaps Kill AWM Boards?

    You gotta figure that AWM boards need to - in some part at least - serve a purpose to the AWM community.

    Is sig swap going to drown this? Is there going to be so much worthless crap and spamming that real webmasters will give up? Is it going to create a nightmare for moderators? Is there a fix?

    I have seen threads on boards where every sig was a swapper.

    My thoughts, if you are going to post - it should be YOUR sig.

    What does "signature" mean?

    True - considering buying our share of these swaps. But then again - do we want our "signature" attached to a swapping spammer who is posting ????

    Wish I could swap signatures on my house loan!

    Just food for thought.

      No no and no it is good ad space people can pay 2k a month for a top banner spot and get x amount of banner views but they can pay less for sig space and get five times as many

              I agree. I was quite dismayed to learn that people sell their signature. So their only purpose here is to post for posting sake. And it goes to the higest bidder, not necessarily something they believe in.

                                  If you want to go by definition, remove the shit from your sig, sign a piece of paper and upload it as your sig.
                                  SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, then you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60.

                                                      this is a porn board.. it's not about feeding starving african kids with poetry. It's a wholly commercial endeavour not something you have to "believe in" or keep as "your own".. it has no spiritual or personal significance unless you want it to.. it is just space space that can be traded for dollars or laughs or whatever..

                                                                          I would rather deal with sig whores than fake drama anyday. I agree there is alot of silly needless stuff posted just to get a sig out there, but some of the stuff is funny and interesting. However, fake drama just makes you want to smack the taste out of the mouths of anyone who has ever done it.

                                                                              We've been running SigSwap successfully for going on two years now, showing tens of thousands of sig ads every day on over 65 adult webmaster boards, and have never had a problem with people spamming boards just for sig views, since as mentioned in our FAQ we disable the accounts of members who do that.
