    Designers, free quotes on design..

    Hey all.
    I just noticed that one design site had sign like this: "Free design quotes". Now what the fuck is that? Is it just me and that guy who do free quotes? Or you all are charging money for quotes???
    Why would a designer start asking money for a quote that will only take him a freaking 20 seconds to determine the costs? Does anyone charge money for it? Please enlighten me, cuz I feel like I was abandoned on a deserted island..

          Why someone would charge for a design quote is beyond me. I can understand with tangible services like someone having to drive out somewhere to look at a space to give a quote, but for design?

                              because in industries other than ours people do charge for qoutes so I guess some people just want to point out that isn't the case.
