    What do you use for self defense?

    I know that in the UK, people aren't allowed to carry shit. Guns, knives, pepper spray, mace, tasers, stun guns, knucke dusters... all illegal to carry in public and only knives are legal to keep at home. I almost got into a fight in town yesterday with a skinhead who was whispering threats behind my back. I turned around right away, he backed off and started to act all innocent. Had I touched him, I probably would've been arrested. Also recently, a wheelchair bound 75 year old man was arrested for spraying a burglar (who was in his home at the time) with pepper spray. Self defense is a crime, the laws are just fucking ridiculous.

    What do you guys carry in public, and keep at home for self defense?

                                                          Fists are nice for self defense... lethal weapons if you know how to use them properly.

                                                          However... I do honestly believe that if an intruder comes into my home, they endanger my girlfriend and children, and that means their ass becomes my property. That said, it's a question of what's worse. Stabbing in the head/chest is above and beyond getting into a fist fight (where they will be walking the streets again in 24hrs).

                                                              State of florida says if there is intruder in your house you can use ANY means necessary to deal with it. Ill say it again, this is why I love the south. The uk laws suck, but there still things you can get for home defense, a good dog being a start.

                                                              I wouldent even think of getting into a fist fight or a knife fight with an intruder. One shot it's game over lights out for good, his life is over.

I carry brass knuckles, I don't know if it's legal or not, I've never asked, but I figure if I get in a fight with someone I'll get arrested anyway, so I might as well fuck them up while I am at it.                                                                                                                                                                               Last time I got into a bad fight was a year ago when someone who was working for me stayed over and decided to crawl into my bed and try and rape me in the middle of the night - luckily I'd taken up a bottle of wine with me and that made a very handy weapon.
