    Often times I wonder why
There's love and hate, theres live or die.
When sickness comes I must decide:
    When feelings go, theres suicide.

A hot shower, 400mg of ibuprofen, and a shot of your favorite liquor to take the edge off the pain.

I've taken both prescrip and non-prescrip. Made no difference, really, since neither one helps.

I had pretty bad back pain a couple of years ago. My chiropractor recommended pilates and my back has been fantastic ever since.

Hot bath and mortrin. I just went out and bought me a nice mattress hoping that would help and it didn't. Cost about $2500 on the mattress and my back is still fucked up but when it don't hurt I sleep like a king

I've had chronic back pain since my gall bladder surgery a couple of years ago. I'm convinced the surgeon left the scalpel inside and its sticking my spine. Anyway, nothing works for me...pain pills, muscle relaxers, chiropractor. Just wasted my money. I can't even lie down...the pain is too bad. I've been sleeping in a recliner for years. If anyone knows of something that works, I'd love to know about it!

I have suffered quietly with what I thought was "low level back pain". I figured it was just pain like everyone has. Bad posture in front of the computer, too much weight, not enough exercise, etc. Everyone has it, right?

I've tried all kinds of muscle relaxants, pain relievers, more serious pain medicine, and massage. I finally got a new doctor and a new set of diagnosis.

I have a herniated disk in my lower back. I went to 12 weeks of physical therapy. A total of 15 appointments. They got my spine back in alignment with movement and massage. Then they taught me exercises to strengthen the muscles to keep my back in neutral position. I struggle with it every day, but I'm managing to live a relatively pain free day.

I still have pain and when I do something bad for my back, I sure feel it. What astounded me was how much pain I had been in. It had been so long since it didn't feel like burning hot fireplace pokers being stabbed into my lower back and sciatica that I didn't realize how bad it was. Now I can do amazing things like walk, sit in a chair for more than an hour at a time, and sleep at night! Amazing.

I do pilates exercises in my home every day. I walk with my dog 3-4 times a week and hike on the weekends. I also get a massage 2x a month to keep things relaxed and in alignment and to keep it from getting knotted and pulled out of whack again.

                                So far so good!

Oxycontin is often prescribed for serious, chronic back pain. Its also very, VERY addicting.
For less serious issues Vicodin or any derivitave thereof would be just fine. Make sure to put heat on it when its bothering you, and physical therapy if neccesary

I take a bit of Darvon with Soma. It's not heavy-duty stuff, but I don't have debilitating stabbing pain, just mild strains from time to time.
