    I?m not a religious person, and I only go to church for funerals and weddings... but I love religious movies and documentaries....

    So, I just can?t wait to see this fucking movie....

    All this manufactured controversy is awesome....

    Some hysterical moron on TV just said people are going to start killing Jews....

    The people attacking Gibson because of his dad....

    Political correctness is being applied to a fucking book that predates any of us or any of our current fucking moronic logic....

    Typical denying the past bullshit that's so trendy today....

                  This movie is gonna rock.
                  Way, way too many Jews in Hollywood and the media. Gibson's other films (The Patriot and Braveheart) sure as hell didn't show the English in good light (actually, killing children and women, raping wives, etc), yet not even a word. Yet when he makes a film based directly on what happened to Jesus it hits every news channel, and is called anti-semetic.

                  Anyway, I am going to see it for sure, and I can not wait. Gibson is an awesome director, and his films are always very good. Atleast there is one voice who is willing to do something other than the norm in Hollywood.

                              Gibson is getting on my nerve though... planning screenings for every freaking religious delagations... jews, catholics... showed the movie to the pope... trying to get approval... but also trying to get some controversy... The publicity he is getting is outrageous... CNN talks and debate about the movie daily... wtf!?

                                  I'm looking forward to seeing the film as well, more from a movie making point of view rather than any religious standpoint, his work on Braveheart was great. Gibson came across well on that Diane Sawyer interview the other night.

                                              It is historically incorrect in my mind and many others. Understand the controversy before you throw out your opinions.

                                              It goes against the changes the Catholic Church adopted with Vatican 2 as well. I believe Gibson is a member of a Catholic "sect" that refuses to accept the Vatican 2 changes.

                                                                      Yes Mel is a reformed Catholic who doesn't acknowledge the Vatican 2 changes. As far as the Catholic view on it, if they feel its incorrect historically then why did the Pope in response to seeing the move say "it is as it was". It does not go against the changes adopted by the Catholic Church.

Whoever made all that stuff up was pretty creative. It'll be interesting to see how impressive it is when it's made into a big budget hollywood movie.
