    Hey I'm new, just wondering how much money you can make with a site with links to galleries. I'm very new and don't understand what TGP means even. Can someone explain?



    I know you make however much effort you put into the biz, but can someone ballpark it for me? would I be able to even cover the cost of running a dedicated server the first month?

    how exactly is the money made? I don't really wanna make my own pay-site per say, I'd like to make a site like www.spermshack.com but more of just a hardcore thumbnail gallery/movie linker thingey...

      If you dont have experience start with virtual, a dedicated served would be a waste of money

          why get dedicated when you're starting??? Virtual is just as good, with 10-20GB bandwidth and about 100MB diskspace you are good to go!

              HUGE mistake to START with a dedicated server. You will be finished before you even begin.

              Get with one of these guys who are offering virtual hosting.

              Been there, done that.

                  Basically a TGP is a site with links to galleries, either picture, movies or both.

                  TGP's can be:

                  All your own galleries, usually hosted from all of the sponsors, such as Pimproll (click sig, they have a couple hundred galleries).
                  OR: Galleries submitted from other webmasters.
                  OR: A mixture of both.

                  How they make money:

                  Banners you put up on the site with your linking codes earn you money.
                  If you have a lot of traffic you can charge for the top spots on your TGP.
                  If you have some or all of your own galleries on the tgp, anyone that signs up for that website, the sponsor will pay you a fee for getting them to sign up. Fees vary, depending on the program.

                  At first it would be best to go with freehosting, keep your costs minimal and use a lot of your own free hosted galleries....that way you don't have to buy content.

                  Don't expect to make a ton of money at first, you are going to need to get traffic to the site, so you will have to buy it, trade traffic etc. but eventually the numbers will go up and so will your income.
