    Webmasters WE NEED YOUR HELP

    Fellow Adult Entertainer

    A friend in our industry Shannon from Shannongetsit has been seriously hurt in a fire.

    She has 4th Degree burns over 60% of her body. Right now she is in a coma and as most in our industry, they have no health coverage

    I dont even want to think what her awesome hubby Dave is going through. At this time, I am begging each and everyone to dig into their pockets and help out during this tragic time.

                          It's the worst type of burn you can have. Damages muscles and bones, usually requires skin grafting at the least, amputation at the worst.

                                                      Did you read you health Insurance coverage?

                                                      Mine does not cover all of the burns, just the basic (amputation, skincrafting etc) Most Insurances quit covering 100% after a certain allotted amount, most only cover 50% of therapy after 6 month.

                                                      I am pretty familiar with Health Insurance, we have a great one, but we also have had our run-ins with them.

                                                                  too bad too many people ruined the whole "help with donations" thing.

                                                                                  It's ok, you don't have to. I been around for a while so people who know me, know I won't screw them.

                                                                                  But I do have to say , that I also have been burned by scams like that and donated money to a variety of posts on boards etc.

                                                                                  I think, my whole issue of putting it up online is the fact that I am stunt, heartbroken. I have known her since she started her site. She doesn't live far from us, Julian did her first hardcore shoot with her and we were one of the first ever other Amateurs she and Dave met offline.

                                                                                  I just saw her at a Halloween Swingers Event in DC and we hung out and had fun.

                                                                                  In my heart I had to do something, anything to help. This is the only way I know how. I am not a doctor, I am not good in consoling Dave (and I doubt it be a good idea right now for non-family members to bug them) So getting a donation fund up and going was my way of helping.

                                                                                                      I knew this onegirl she had an Angora sweater lit up a smoke and Bang!

                                                                                                      The sweater lit up real fast luckily she rolled fast enough as she saw it ignite. I mean you would be amazed at how fast it happens its like spontaneous combustion. I never seen spontaneous combustion mind you, but damn its so quick there is no time really to react unless ya know exactly what to do.

                                                                                                                                                          Apparently she suffered an epileptic seizure while cooking, and her angora sweater caught fire.
                                                                                                                                                          60% 4th degree burns will be a life altering experience if she manages to pull through.

                                                                                                                                                          Much worse than just a clothing fire imo.
                                                                                                                                                          Every one of us needs to thank their lucky stars that it was not them.

Having personally spent a good deal of time in various burn centers throughout my life since they have the best skin doctors, I can say first hand they are pretty common with bad burn cases.

                                                                                                                                                              To get to 4th degree you just need some skeletal burning, thats it. If the burns occure around or near the face or hands its very easy for it to reach that state.

                                                                                                                                                              Not having read into the story itself. I would figure she is on a medically induced coma and will remain that way for some time. Since the doctors do this on purpose to prevent the pain level from killing you.

                                                                                                                                                              Not to be a bringer of bad news, yet to be realistic. This in all likelyhood would be a memorial fund. Burns over 30% of your body let alone the half or 60% ratio are generally if not nearly always fatal. The body stands very little chance against the infections that come with major burns.

                                                                                                                                                              My heart does go out to them.

                                                                                                                                                                                                      I suggest they put away what they can to survive on at home, and make payments on the medical bills...these will never stop coming for the rest of their lives. They can get help with medical from many places in their area.. you just have to go through the paperwork.. I went through this with a g/f that broke her neck and was paralyzed.

                                                                                                                                                                                                      I wish the family the very very best and would love to donate to the cause when my income tax check comes in this year.
