Staples sales people and managers are fucking idiots.
I went to one and went to buy a computer monitor. I was paying with a newly opened checking account for Men.com. The sales person goes we have a problem here. So I said what do you mean. She says this looks like a brand new checking account. I said so.
She goes we can't accept checks from a new checking account. I said excuse me miss but that account has half a million dollars in it. Look at the name on there. Do you know what the Internet is? Do you know how much I paid for that domain?
At this point I realized I was dealing with a complete idiot and asked for the manager. He was even dumber and even more of an idiot and wouldn't take the sale. I was about to use the card cause I didn't feel like going to another store but then just said fuck it and didn't give them the sale and called them both idiots as I walked out.

I don't know how they knew it was new, or what the problem with thier computers were but if something sent up a red flag I would asume the person I was dealing with didn't really own men.com . Why the hell they had a problem in the first place I dont know.

thats how these stores are run, policy is policy and they dont make exceptions for anyone, unless you could whip out a bank statement with the balance or have them call the bank to verify the balance, otherwise they wouldnt care if you were bill gates with a new checking account theyd still tell you the exact same thingOriginally posted by Kard63

why do you need to do it online? do you have some kind of social phobia? all i ever did for staples was print the ad out and bring it in the store and never had a problem.

After you purchase the product, you get a confirming email you can reply and price match the site in that email. Well that's how I do my price matching at staples.Comment
