    China-US: Double bubbles in danger of colliding

    One simple basis for that Bush boom is that China is recycling its US$100 billion-plus trade surplus with the US back into dollars, and especially into US Treasury bonds. Almost half of the US Treasury bonds are now owned in Asia.

          if america just defaulted on its bonds and said ya know for national security we are not going to pay you ever

          that would rule we could wipe out the national debt in one fell swoop and start over again

          national bankruptsy

          we have 7 trillion in debt and we only make 11 trillion in a whole year so we have to all work for 10 months for free to pay it off

                          Its a well known Fact China will soon be the worlds super power and have the largest economy.
                          Don't worry though, throughout history no country/empire has ever been able to remain #1 forever.
                          Someday another country will surpass China.

                                      That would cause a world war if the neo cons are still in power. Their main goal is to make sure their is never another competing super power like Russia was. Pretty scary stuff, what's even more scary is that the people who elect these guys don't even know what they're voting for.

                                          Here is an interesting thought:

                                          if push came to shove over, for example, the Taiwan Strait, all Beijing has to do is to mention the possibility of a sell order going down the wires. It would devastate the US economy more than any nuclear strike
                                          An interesting move by China buying all those US Treasury bonds.
