I know the average person is stupid, but c'mon, wtf is going on here? The world is in a fucking mess, the economy is fucked, fuel prices are at an all time high, the environment is being assaulted, and civil rights have been trampled on. Not one good thing has come from Bush. Then there's the debates, after that spectacle how in the hell could anyone think he should be running this country? This guy doesnt have the mental capacity to manage a Dominos Pizza store. I honestly believe the debates forced Bush to think more than he has had to in 4 years, and it showed. I seriously thought he was going to have a mental breakdown.
I don't get why 47% still back Bush

"The proportion of the [American] population that can be classified as Christian has declined from 86% in 1990 to 77% in 2001." ARIS Study
That's a lot of free votes right there ......
of course, not all Christians vote for bush ... but the 47% of the US that still supports Bush is drawn primarily from that fine group of citizens right there.

I absolutely agree with you, that's why all that vote thing makes me think that some people just don't care and it's pretty sad.....Originally posted by SuckOnThis

I have to admit if all you pay attention to is American TV news, Bush doesn't seem so bad. It's easy to make someone look good when you only have to talk about issues for 30 seconds and you don't have to be telling the truth.
They even called the debate a draw.

There is no one strong candidate in the 2004 presidential election.
IMHO, the dems screwed up and picked the wrong candidate. For as many people who are voting for Kerry because he's not Bush, there's someone voting for Bush because he's not Kerry.
I think we are going to see a strong division among Americans no matter who wins

Because even though Bush cannot seem to form a complete sentence and looks like a chimp he still conects better with the joe and jane sixpacks than Kerry does.Comment

Besides, it really does not matter who is President. Kerry is not gonna pull out of Iraq. He is controlled by the same forces t that Bush is.Comment

Because George Bush really believes God wants him to be President and he believes he is helping to usher in the "Rapture" and frankly, most evangelical christians (and there are a lot of them!) support Bush.
Throw in the farmers from the Midwest & rednecks from the South that always vote Republican, and that makes up most of the 47%!

What amazes me is that people from big cities like NY and LA think are are more intelligent and more in touch with America than people from rural areas...the midwest...or the south..if gangs...feminists...people who are challenged in english..gay marriage..is what the "real" America is all about...then we are in troubleOriginally posted by Centurion
