How do you feel about the bullshit the City of New York is pulling on the news stands throughout the city?
Some of these guys have been selling newspapers and magazines in the same spot for over 50 years. The city is making them all give up their classic looking newstands which these guys own and pay a license fee each year and instead forcing them to rent a uniform looking newstand all of which will now be owned by one single company for all Manhatten.
I think that is fucked up.
That's part of NYC's look and charm. Those guys are part of what makes it what it is and has been for decades.
Not fair. Not right. Another illustration of government taking over people's affairs with the power stick of our way or no way.
