    Folks, you have to realize i got my girl to handle my icq because all it is is a bullshit GFY playground.

    Its clear she may have misunderstood and was basically trying to say if you want to talk business thats fine but she didnt want to waste anytime... she is managing my icq messages as a courtesy to me, maybe she was foggy on what exactly he meant... thats no reason to go off like this

    my girl dodges drama for me all day, and now he even attacks her.

        NDA's are kinda the first step to having someone work on your secret project. It doesn't work well to tell people the secret and then have them sign something.

                                                                                                        I think it's a simple case of misunderstanding - which is a common problem in using ICQ to conduct business. It's difficult to see how the person on the other end is really reacting and everything is taken in a totally literal context.

                                                                                                        I do agree though that NDAs are very common in any business sector. Is a thread needed whenever something goes awry in ICQ? I don't know. I think sometimes simply providing more explanation of where one is coming from does the job better for getting things straight.

                                                                                                                        I always worry when I do business on ICQ that people are misunderstanding my tone, or my intentions.

                                                                                                                        It's a tool, not the most effective one...but for now it's what we have...same issues arise in email.

When something of a larger business dealing comes up I always try to get the person to phone me or I call them...... and talk. Very little room for misunderstanding on the phone. It is certainly heads and tails above ICQ or email. Less room for ego and posturing as well.

Usually when u sign it you have some proposal with something to go on.

                                                                                                                                                                        This poses an intersting question what if you sign it just to find out that those ideas were not as original just a rip off from some else who did not have that person sign the NDA and so on and so on

                                                                                                                                                                            I answer useless quotes and emails all the time ,
                                                                                                                                                                            waste alot of time on clients that are just " looking " but don't tell you that , everything is set in stone as they say and then you hear nothing , in fact . there is one character on this board that mustve hit me up 17 times to ask for a quote on the same damn site .. over and over again , we waste time with enough potential orders to book ourselves for years on end .

                                                                                                                                                                            Ill be damned if I would be signing anything before payment was in hand .

And you're right... it IS business, as in not personal. Maybe there is a way to work it out and start over.
