So XP thinks that a country with six million people in it has plans to conquer the world. That's logical.
The reason Israel is making weapons is SURVIVAL. They are under constant attack by countries and "people" that significantly outnumber them.
David and Goliath. You get a larger force attacking you, you need better weapons. You need to use your brain. And that's something they have going for them.
And for the record, the Ottoman Empire sucked.
