My mother had this form of mental illness and she's still able to remember everything of that time and tells me she was another person at that time.She is only able to maintain her normal personality by taking drugs that keep a specific biochemic level in her brain.
If there was a body independend soul where your personality was in, this couldn't happen, so if you're dead your personality is totally gone.
