but from what I recall it wasn't made real clear that if you say you will show and you don't, that someone will be stuck with your bill.

RSVP to me means "let us know how big a table to reserve", not "I have to pay/prepay x amount based on your saying yes.


As for the people that showed but couldn't pay $10???
WTF Why show up with no money, stay home.

I don't get it.
I thought it was pretty clear when we mentioned that it was a set menu at $10 a head. When you RSVP at a pay per plate dinner, you should assume that your plate will be paid for regardless of whether or not you show up. Maybe that's assuming too much, but I think that way. As Zoe said, it'll be the last time we expect people to show up...From now on people can just come stag.

The party that showed did pay, but I wasn't quite sure what the total was...I just know it was a bit short and it wasn't intentional. My apologies if that came off as standoffish.
