Will you tell YOUR kids what you worked as?

In years to come, if you are out of the biz or maybe still in it and you are married with kids will you tell them what you worked as?

If I ever have kids I wouldn't tell them what I done. NO WAY.

Reading Donovan Phillips thread about the Mom who brought her Daughter to him and offered her other daughter also made me think about this...

Im not ashamed at what I do - and I hope I raise my kids to know whats right and wrong - allow them to decide for themselves.

Tired of these threads that imply, "porn is something to be hidden" and "its wrong" - fuck that... PORN IS GOOD!!

Im getting married next year, and her parents know about what I do - after knowing me - they realize that its a job and not a license to bang every chick around.

My oldest kids already know what I do and I wanted it that way. My younger ones will know when they are old enough to know. Why? Because I would rather them hear it from me than to go out and hear it from someone else and be left standing there looking like an idiot and in shock.

BUT I have raised my kids to know that there is nothing wrong with our bodies, sexuality or anything to do with it. We are a pretty realistic family and we talk about things together, we don't hide things. Porn is NOT illegal (ok some of it is, but not the parts I do) and I am not ashamed of it. The way I see it, I am not a drug dealer and I am not on Welfare, so the money I make from porn is honest and hurting no one.

NOW, had you asked do I want my kids to do porn? HELL NO!!! I don't mind them building the websites and all of that but I never ever would promote them to the ideas of actually doing porn movies and so on, that part, as a Mom, I don't know if I could handle, simply because when I look in their faces, I still see them locked in at 5 years old..... I wouldn't disown them, and I would support them if it is something they REALLY wanted, but I am certainly not going to help them get into it.

Would I hire my kids to work for me? THAT one I haven't really had to face yet, so I am not sure. It's not something I would go after and try and get them to do as a living, simply because, again, I still see them as 5 yr olds.... LOL

My youngest two will know when they are old enough to know or talk about sex and all that goes with that and they can understand this whole thing. But for now, they just know mom runs websites and so on. I don't lie to them, I just only give them what their minds can handle.

I'm not ashamed at what I do, so my family knows. As far as my kids, my 12 year old pretty much knows what I do for a living, although, I don't work in front of him, he just knows. My other children 2 and 6 of course, don't really have a clue.

I know that if I found out that my dad did this and made good money at it, I'd be proud of him

Please don't confuse my question with the way I feel guys. I am in no way ashamed at what I do. Hell why would I be? I earn a lot of money, I work when I want and I take as many vacations as I want.

The reason for this thread was because of the one where the Mom took her daughter to a content producer and then also told him she had another daughter she wanted to be in the business.

I don't think this is right. Hence the reason I asked if you would or wouldn't tell your kids.

My kids are 9, 6, and 3, so they only know that Mommy works on the computer but when they're old enough, I'll tell them.

I would never want my children to be treated any differently because of what I do for a living. I don't go to the PTA meetings and advertise what I do to the other parents from their school, but many people do know what I do. It's nothing to be ashamed of, it's a legitimate business just like any other. The generic 'internet marketing' works great for those who wouldn't be so open-minded.

My oldest knows...he's sneaky and sorta found out on his own and when he asked me about it, I told him that I handle some marketing for some adult entertainment companies, and I stressed the ADULT part. My next child is only 14 months younger in years, but waaaayyyy more immature, so he doesn't know, and my girls are just 3 and 15 months, so they have no clue, of course.
I will tell them, when they are older and more mature, but on a need to know basis....

I just like using "Internet Marketer", I even have that on my tax returns as my occupation and also my corporations type of business is Internet Marketing.
