God Digi I can't even remember them right now and probably couldn't even after a good night's rest. The 'restructuring' you're speaking of cut out the majority of the webmasters that those AVS's had, and one or two have even been accused of "stealing rebills" because of the way they kicked the webmasters out and "restructured".Originally posted by Digipimp

I actually went cruising around a few AVS message boards tonight to see how the landscape looked and honestly it looks bleak. Complaining of bad ratios, wondering about shaving etc is nothing new, but these places just looked... dead.
Although Gleem did give AB a good plug, which was pretty surprising.Comment

From the looks of the boards I visited (AI, AVSLounge, AVSFriendly, one other that I forget) it looks like the crop of AVS webmasters has slimmed down greatly. Which would be great for the ones still in there, more traffic for them.

Only problem with Gleems board is it is slanted to his advertisers..
so it loses quite a bit of credibility...
AVS isnt dead..its just something you have to be wary of, just like you should with every affiliate program..and under no circumstances should you do recurring based anything..
if you dont believe me..wait for these visa fines in the next 3-5 months..and unless you have access to their entire statistics to see they are in fact under 1%..you should not do recurring based...in my opinion of course..cause if they lose processing..remember...YOUR REBILLS GO WITH IT..Comment

All the AVS boards are like that and have been for over the last year. Especially if you're used to big boards that move fast. It's just a smaller/tighter crowd. I don't do it anymore except for the occasional gay site, but the ones who got in early, have lots of rebills, and good connections with some of the owners, are still doing pretty good with it.Originally posted by CARRlE

*But*, if I had a single girl site, I'd be all over it. They're missing out on excellent upsales. The members traffic is gold and not a bunch of freeloaders. Just a few softcore pics for the AVS site, upsell their paysite on the inside, and link it to a paysite tour with the more "hardcore" stuff, but all blurred/starred out. The ones who say they're not into it, or don't know how, are all making galleries. Just put two gallery pages in a members folder, make a quick front page, stick up the script, and you're done. I will say that if you are relying on our link list to provide your signups, you will probably be waiting a long time. If you take a proactive stance and promote your sites the same as you would your paysite, you will get checks twice a month.Comment
