Played the UT 2004 demo last night. What an awesome freakin' game. The onslaught mode was fan-fucking-tastic...can't wait until this game hits the shelves. Anyone else play it?

Played it for a few days.. It was a pretty fun game.. I mean the same onslaught level over and over and over again kind of got tedious, but was wicked fun.."Computer games don't affect kids; I mean if Pac-Man affected us as kids, we'd all be running around in darkened rooms, munching magic pills and listening to repetitive electronic music."

Yeah, I've been playing it a bit here and there, it's pretty good. I wouldn't say it's the best i've ever seen, but it definitely gets some good bonus points on the fun factor.Comment

I didn't play 2003 so I don't know..but if 2003 sucked, then no way, it's not like 2004 at all. The modes are CTF, Assault, Onslaught, Team Deathmatch, Deathmatch and one other one that's like football but I forget the name.Originally posted by JohnnyUtah

The onslaught mode is awesome. The object is to destroy the opponents "power core". There are about five "power nodes" on each map and they connect to each other or the main "power core". like this:
O----o----o-----o-----o------O
blue team power core ----nodes -----red team power core
To attack the opponent's power core, you must first capture a node that connects to their core, otherwise you can't attack the core. There are some awesome vehicles (flying and driving), awesome weapons, maps and the gameplay is fast and furious.
On the demo you can play one map from each game type..Assault and Onslaught are the best but deathmatch is pretty cool and CTF is always solid. I didn't really like the football related one.
This game seriously rocks. It's been a long time since I played a demo that made me want to buy the game...oh, Painkiller is another cool game that I played last night...not as much fun as UT 2004 but still pretty cool.Comment

I don't see why they changed domination mode like they did in 2003, the original was the best.

Other than Assault mode, I think it's pretty much a revamp of 2003.
Personally, I wasn't all that impressed. I'm sticking to Medal of Honor and Call of Duty.Comment

I think it was awesome. Goals are implemented well and you get to drive cool vehicles. It's awesome when you see a surface to air missile coming right towards the cockpit of your plane and you out maneuver it....Comment

without reading everyones response ill add that this 2004 blows 2003 out the fucking water 2003 sucked was very unbalanced and with 4 or 5 patches it was a little betetr but not much ive heard that 2004 will be 6 cds or 1 dvd so the pirates will have fun wit this one plus im sure will have t d direct connect only until a patch si released like with the others anyways this game may be worth buying and onslaught fucking rules
