    CNN is reporting from Samarra that a major offensive is underway

    ...to clean Samarra of "insurgents". It is being reported that a full Brigade is moving into the city. It is being reported as the largest offensive since the first few weeks of the initial invasion of Iraq.

    As always one must take media reports with a large grain of salt...especially initial reports.
