Just proves being nice works!
Had a 10,000 page website banned by google, too many pages the same!! Entirely my fault as I uploaded everything without the the website being totally finished!! So googlebot came by and within a week it was banned! Sent google a nice and polite email explaing what I had done and said I corrected the mistakes etc etc!
Got an email back from them today: -
Hi William,
Thank you for your reply. We appreciate your efforts to comply with
Google's quality standards. We have sent your request on to our
engineering team who will review your site to determine if it is eligible
for re-inclusion. If the website is reinstated, it will appear in Google's
search results sometime in the next few months. We appreciate your
patience during this process.

Just thought I'd post this as a glimmer of hope to all who have had sites banned lately that there is hope is getting bans removed!
Being nice and courteous works too
