    Good Morning GFY!

Happy Thursday!! I hope everyone is well on this cold, foggy morning.

Forecast for Cookeville, TN and surrounding areas: Early morning fog, clearing by 10am. Partly cloudy. Northeast winds around 8mph. Clearing by nightfall.

    Temperatures:
    Currently: 53 degrees
    High: 70 degrees

    It's GFY hoodie time

Was down another pound this morning!! YaY!! That's 12 gone in about 2 weeks time.

Got my oatmeal with extra raisins, meds, fed cats, dressed, and still need to put the dogs out.

Hope everyone has a great day, and may you profit more today than you did yesterday.

        Morning Tala!
What kind of plan are you following? I just started "Eating for Life" by Bill Philips...I did the whole "Body for Life" program before, and it was great...very nutritionally sound. The one I'm on now is almost the same, but it's a tad bit less strict, and I can cook things for dinner that the whole family will eat rather than cooking two different meals. Lord knows I don't have time for that shit, lolol.

          Same thread, different stuff.

Hmmm.....what shall I do to make this one different?

I could start giving away all of my smilies, but that would take a long damn time.

You know, I"m not on a "plan".

I'm on the "use your fucking head and get off your ass" diet. Eat what you want, (though I've cut out a great majority of my sugar), just eat it in moderation. Listen to your body. Eat a spoonful (or forkful), and SET THE UTENSIL DOWN. Talk or study or write or something, then come back for another bite. Your body will eventually say, "Okay, we're done", and you'll be shocked to see how much food you didn't eat!! I almost fainted! The body's "off-switch" for food consumption takes about 20 minutes to kick in, and by eating slowly, you're giving your body time to adjust to the amount of food before you completely stuff yourself. That's what makes you feel bloated and sick.

EAT BREAKFAST!!! I cannot stress this one enough. Your body NEEDS the enegry first thing in the morning. If you skip it, you're only going to make yourself ravenous, which will make your body think it's starving. If that happens, your "off-switch" is going to take longer to kick in at the next meal, so that you can eat enough to "prevent starvation. In the end, it only ruins any hope of weight loss if you're not careful. I usually have a package of oatmeal with raisins, (lots of fiber keeps you running longer before you get hungry again), or a couple of pieces of Health Nut bread, toasted, with peanut butter and honey (fiber and natural sugars and proteins.)

No more sugar in the coffee, cola, or tea. Use splenda. And I like the caffiene. Gimme.

Hope this helps. We can chat about it on Q later if you want. Gotta head to class in about 10 minutes or so.

Good solid ideas there...something I've learned is portion control...I'm a southern girl, and a great cook, and I had even my kids used to having almost twice the serving sizes on meals...that took some adjusting, but one of my kids already has a weight problem, too, so I'm sure it will pay off. We started eating smaller meals, more often, to regulate our blood sugar and, like you said, to avoid the " I'm starving!" complex, lol. I cut out a lot of soda...just drinking one or less a day now, and still plan on cutting down to maybe once a week or so. My ankles and hands are way less puffy just from that change alone.
Anyway, have a great class, and I'll hit you up later! XXOO

Good morning! Hey Tala, my dad said if I could find the time and the ticket prices he may take me to see the Ron Jeremy vs. Susan G. Cole debate at MTSU!

Ah such a father/daughter outing. A porn debate. And strangely enough we are both on the same side!
