You are wrong. A Sergeant is an E-5...I was a Sergeant First Class...E-7 which is a senior NCO. In addition the highest one can go as a Non Commissioned Officer is E-9. I was on my career track...if not ahead of it as far as rank is concerned. To be a Commissioned Officer (takes an act of Congress) one must have a Bachelor Degree and I went into the Army with an Associate Degree and did not attend University until my military career was ended in '92. So who is the dumb ass that does not know what the fuck he is talking about?
