    NBC's Olympic Coverage blows

Everything is tape delayed, so you hear the results 8 hours before you get to see the action. What a joke.

I miss the CBC and its live coverage.

That goes with the territory when the Olympics are happening on a different continent. I've always been pretty happy with NBC's coverage--if you want to know what is going on before it airs, just check the Net.

Yes, the curling at 2am last night was Must See TV. ;)

Now we just need the live CBC coverage paired with a good DVR. Are those allowed in Canada yet?

you show it live to those who want it, and show in primetime to those who dont mind. thats how other countries do it. It takes the fun out of the games when you know the result 8 hours before they show it.

Instead NBC had paid programming on during the live events. nice

I have to admit it is nice having it close to my time zone for a change.

hahaha, yep its amazing how popular it is in Europe and Canada.

I just like watching sports live.

And hard to avoid the results when you want to find out the sports news for NBA, NFL and NHL during the day.

My uncle is a big curler. I don't get it yet, but maybe if they had full contact curling?

I just remember staying up til 5am to watch the soccer world cup a few years back. Now THAT was exciting!

I think it was that people just got caught up in it. Every year I forget the rules, then I watch it and get sucked in. There is a lot of strategy to it but it suffers from looking silly.

Oh NBC has a lot of good production quality to it. Just dont like not having the option to watch live too. They have 5 channels to broadcast. I am sure Bravo or CNBC could be used for live for those that like it.

I was really digging the propaganda being spewed by Brian Williams during the opening ceremony, nevermind the athletes, if there was a country like say Iran, it was negative propanganda spew about their nuclear program and nothing about who or what sports they would be competing in.
