Lots of bad checks. You can reduce those by turning on the option to have the customer's email address verified before the check is accepted. That way you have a real email address to use for contact.

Would it be a better idea to just not allow people to pay by check? Do a lot of people use that option to justify having it at all? Thanks.

Where is that option found in webmaster admin? I don't remember seeing that anywhere.

Same here...I'm not aware of that option on CCBill..if I've overlooked, please tell me where to find it in the webmaster admin. I have a stupid fucker that continues to join via check every couple weeks-trial signup that he lets rebill then a week or so later they both bounce. Then he does it again under a different name, address, and IP...he's bounced 8 checks to me so far this year.

I reported to fraud@ccbill , but there's not much they seem to be able to do since his info changes each time. I catch it because he's stupid enough to use the same username each time and I have it blocked

fuck the check bouncers...and yes, if that option exists, I'd like to know where!

The Email verification for bank check signups is enabled by CCbill tech support.

There is no visible option in the CCbill application.

I have recently enabled it and it has helped reduce the returned check rate

I whole-heartedly recommend this option.

just so it is clear, we do have some clients in 'beta' for an email confirmation option. It is not publically displayed in our reports. If anybody is interested it checking this option out, send me an email request with your account # and i can try to get you on it
