One of the worst large strip casinos. Room decor is ghastly, buffet is mediocre. Very average to worse than average entertainment (unless your gig is watching horses and eating with your hands, medieval style).

the excaliber is a litle tacky but it is in the middle it is attached to the lexur and another one..that makes it a good spot.. you are going to go to all the casinos so i would stay in the middle if you are looking for the best deal..if you are lloking for total pamperingthen the Belagio is the shitI do not get it!!!!!!!!!!Comment

venetian has the biggest best rooms, bellagio is overrated, casears is ok.
all the hotels are the same shit. but the venetian was a good time. plus their blackjack tables were real fucking friendly!

excalibur is a dump...
venetian is gawdy and too fucking big, especially if they stick you in the new tower. but the rooms are the best on the strip.
i would recommend caesars for location, and their new tower has some sweet fuckin rooms. monte carlo is a very cool hotel for the price, and has a good younger crowd usually. you would do well at aladdin too, and like the other guy said, luxor usually is pretty cheap.

Never stayed at Excalibur... but it's always struck me as a "fun" place when I've gambled there. It doesn't have a stuffy feel like Bellagio, or some of the other higher end casinos. I would say if you got a deal, by all means go for it.. as NBDesign said, you're only going to be spending your sleeping hours there anyway.
Not to get too much off topic here... but a friend recently told me about some type of promotion with The Bellagio where if you buy your gaming chips in advance, they'll comp you your flight AND hotel.
It sounded way too good to be true.. but this friend adamitently says that he called the promo phone number, told them his length of stay (5 days) and how much he would be gambling while there (which was only $2000 between he and his wife), and supposedly they DID send him vouchers for flight and room. Up front however he had to buy the $2k worth of chips with his credit card while making that call.
I did a google search to see if I could find any info on this supposed promotion... and I came up short. But if this promo does exist, it would be a pretty sweet deal.No sig = good sig

I stayed at the Aladdin this year. No complaints at all. The best part is there is an elevator no more then 10 rooms away so you dont have to walk around the whole damn floor searching for one! The location was pretty decent as well.
As for the excalibur. Never been inside, but a hotel is a hotel. As long as the room is clean I could care less.Comment

Descent for the price. I've seen much worse like the Tropicana. Lots of families and children. Not my type of place. I would recommend the Mirage if you're looking for slightly cheaper than Venetian and upscale still.
