Anyone who is stupid enough to believe the U.S. media is liberal thinks that because Fox or CNN or MSNBC told them so.

The entire mainstream U.S. media is owned by huge conservative corporations. That is not an opinion, it is a fact.

Statistics and other evidence demonstrate little or no prosecution of illegal pornography by the Reno Justice Department. A Syracuse University report (TRAC, 1997) shows that obscenity prosecutions have decreased 86% since Clinton and Gore were elected. Pornographers and advocacy publications like Adult Video News have even admitted that, "adult obscenity enforcement by the federal government is practically non-existent since the administration changed."

      http://www.afajournal.org/cover/pornography_1.asp

Obscenity prosecutions dropped by 86% under Bill Clinton while child porn prosecutions went up. That is a statistic provided by your own right wing religious fanatic friends.

If you can't admit that Republicans are far worse than Democrats when it comes to porn prosecutions, your opinions are even more worthless than some of the other right wing sheep on this board.

You missed the entire point of my post. You my friend are blinded by your hatred. You assume I am a Republican, which is totally incorrect.

As I said in my post, provide the hard numbers on total prosecutions for obscenity/pornography since 1970, done at the federal level that were NOT for child pornography.

I do not watch FoxNews or MSNBC. Or any news program in the United States for that matter anymore. I make my comments based upon facts and not political leanings. The US Media, up until 2001 was 0wn3d 100% by 100% liberal/Neo-Communist puppets.

How old are you? I am asking seriously, to try to determine how long you have been watching news over the age of 16 in the US.

Do you honestly, 100%, believe that the media is controlled by the Republicans? The media is and has been ruled by some of the most liberal whackos this side of France.

It is only until recently that the Republicans, or more to the point, NON-socialists have had a venue.

Of course I belive it - because it is true. For the past several decades, Republicans have run this county and everything in it - including the media.

The media stung Clinton up by his balls for getting his dick sucked. Yet Bush has run the economy into the ground, the deficeit sky high, killed hundreds over his failed wars that were based on bogus intelligence information and lied at several junctures - most recently his war record - yet the media has left him alone for the most part.

And you think the media is run by liberals? You've gotta be kidding me! Now, we are talking about mass media. There is some liberal-run media, but most of that is either online or in small niche newsletters and shit - but not considered mass-media.

This is so fucking lame, and it pisses me off too, for several reasons. The major one being the fact that the fucking government thinks that it knows whats best for people. I don't want some lame old fucker telling me what I should and shouldn't look at, and what is and isn't moral for me to do. Another reason why I am an Anarchist. Vote Anarchy.

If you really believe that you badly need to get out more especially outside of the US. The US media in it's entirety is a very, very long way from being liberal.

                        Yeah? Show us this fact.

Fox without a doubt is conservative, but prove that CNN and MSNBC is too.

By the way I'm Libertarian so don't call me a right wing wacko. I can't stand Bush, but fiscally liberal democrats piss me off just as much.

We need a candidate who is a fiscal conservative and a social liberal.

here's someone who isn't even in America and understands.

                            hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
what is obscene in America will be decided not by the Justice Dept.

it will be decided by juries of ordinary people.

here's the truth about America in 2004.

                            1. 18 year-olds now sit on juries. the MTV generation. they interviewed teenage girls during the period when Clinton was getting sucked off in the white house. maybe some of you missed the interview on the ABC news special where straight-A girls that look like hospital candy-stripers said they didn't even think fellatio is "sex". they suckoff their boyfriends as a form of birth control to stay virgins.

imagine how they would vote on images of ordinary hardcore. they would laugh the prosecutor right out of the court room.

                            2. did anyone see the pic of long-haired John Kerry sitting at a peace rally behind Jane Fonda.

well fast-forward to now. the baby boomers lived through the summer of peace, nude love-ins on college campuses, experimental erotic "art" films on campus, and hardcore porno since 1969 when the Mitchell Bros in San Francisco first started distributing their loops nationwide.

now these people are becoming grandparents, they are fat, and balding. they are now corporate CEOs, and judges.

they grew up on hard core "porn". it is not an issue for them. they ARE America.

ordinary hardcore will not be convicted in America.

but what Charly says above is EXACTLY right---shoot maxhardcore type stuff, or stuff that is violent or degrading, and these same people who will accept ordinary hardcore will vote to convict.

                            watch it happen.

                            there are other factors also.

most ordinary people do not want the government intruding into their bedrooms, or controlling what THEY can see or read.

attempting to do that will be a major political gaff for any politician.

sure, in public people might say they don't like porn. in fact very few people will say they LIKE PORN in public.

problem is when you start calculating how much money is spent on porn you can see that people obviously DO like porn.

politicians if they are not careful can miss this simple fact.

people don't really care what some guy (or woman) in the privacy of their own home looks at on a computer screen.

but ordinary people don't want porn foisted upon them in the form of unsolicited emails, or some sleazy adult bookstore which opens up right down the street from where they live.

but these same people will detest the government trying to control what they can view on the internet---they will find that sort of governmental intervention offensive---and they will vote against it at the ballot box, and in the jury pool---and this will run across all party lines.

if you run an adult website i will offer some advice.

be responsible, get ICRA on your sites so people can setup filtering on their browsers so they don't need to see your stuff if they don't want it, so they can keep their kids off it.

and don't send porn through unsolicited email.

Maybe you don't fantasize about getting spanked by a hot woman and all that BDSM stuff but other people do. They should not have the same rights as you do because they don't have the same fantasies?

Exactly, so they will convict you under obscenity charges to make sure that people know they don't like porn.

but ordinary people don't want porn foisted upon them in the form of unsolicited emails, or some sleazy adult bookstore which opens up right down the street from where they live.

I already have all that but if you where familiar with obscenity cases you'd realise that most of them don't have anything to do with kids having access to such stuff. Remember that woman who sold sex toys? Or the comic book store employee who sold an adult comic? It was just a couple of months ago.

As a safety measure, do you feel affiliates should stop promoting extreme hardcore sites like sweet or max or extreme associates to be absolutely 100% certain that they are not the target of any such legal problems or do you feel the us government will first try to go after the producer and not affiliate distributors, seeing as affiliates generally just use content given by the sponsor. Also many affiliates are in different countries. What is the precedent for stuff like this?

                                    Mr Fiction:

Anyone who is stupid enough to believe the U.S. media is liberal thinks that because Fox or CNN or MSNBC told them so.

The entire mainstream U.S. media is owned by huge conservative corporations. That is not an opinion, it is a fact.
                                    Totally agree!!

I know two journalists who have made documentaries. Both also knew that there was no chance of screenings of these movies in any US TV network. Why? Because they were "too truthful" and ran against the grain.

Meanwhile, these movies have been shown on TV in countries across the globe and acclaimed.

On the press side, they have written many articles that are published workwide - apart from US media where they know from past experience, there is no chance in hell they would be used.

I have little doubt that US media is not only "not liberal", but in a severe state of "control".

This kind of stuff wouldn't even be an issue if it wasn't for soccer mom's getting email spam with hardcore language.

Same thing goes for IM and chatroom spam.

If the online adult industry would have stuck to a "you come to us, we won't come to you" policy, then nobody would give a damn about internet porn.

                                            it's a matter of degree.

IMO simple spanking BSDM will probably not be convictable in 2004 America, if the girl is laughing a little bit, like a pillow fight or something.

but tie the girl up and spank her, and she cries, and you are beginning to cross the line.

it's juries of ordinary people we are talking about.

there is currently stuff produced that is so violent and degrading that it will be convictable in any jurisdiction in the USA.

we all make decisions about how we want to run a business.

some people will do ANYTHING for a buck---some guys will sell dope, or produce child porn, or torture a woman for a few hours.

watch who goes to jail, and why.

it's not what i think, it's what the jury thinks.

                                                  OK.. Prediction time!!

Depending if the current Whitehouse trash is "trusted" to run the US for another term ...

Credit cards (least in North America) and "adult" will be like water and oil. Forget recurring billing, there won't be any initial billing unless merchant accounts are in place. The "side benefit" of that, apart from a profit element of the card companies being enabled to impose fines is that this simplifies the next point - easy convictions of "porn dealers".

The latest crap "face" of the DOJ may actually happen since the Admin will need to find an "enemy" that can be attacked without having to go to war and without the costs of a war. Porn seems as good as any an area be be able to claim "achievement" and "pull the masses together".

"Common decency" was mentioned in a previous message. When a country can tap phone lines, enter people's homes, hold folks without trial blah without a court order and whether this is based on "terrorism" or not, - what the hell is "common decency"? Some obstacle course?? It is below "common decency" what is happening in the US right now.

well, there is some merit to what you say.

but comparing the porn model to a hollywood starlet who is getting tens of thousands for a simulated rape scene is apples to oranges.

here's what juries will see in upcoming porn cases in the states.

                                                    1. girls being tied up, slapped, pissed on, drinking urine, dental appliances in her teeth so she can't close her mouth while guys use her for a toilet.

                                                    2. girls gagging and vomiting from deep fellatio, tears in their eyes, snot running from their noses.

                                                    3. girls with all manner of appliances jammed into orifices, screwdrivers in vaginas.

                                                    4. girls drinking urine and vomiting, eating feces.

                                                    5. girls having needles stuck through sensitive body parts while they scream.

sure all of these girls sign releases.

and it will only take ONE of these girls to go away unhappy, say she was coerced, to put one of these producers in jail.

What were the documentaries about? What was so truthful about them that there was no chance of screenings on any US network?
There have been a good number over the years, not just from these two people, but many other journalists.

One that actually did get a screening in the US from some station near Boston (as ususal the main networks would not touch it), was nothing very "contraversial" in itself.

It was based on all the activities during the time of the Indonesia invasion of East Timor. I comprised of a "lot" of "on the ground" footage showing aircraft attacking people on the streets of East Timor (they had no stuff like fighter aircraft and "real" arms in East Timor). Also included was substantial evidence of war crimes.

The "contentious" part was probably the fact the both the US and UK governments were supplying the "war tools" to Indonesia to commit these acts on the people of East Timor.

The movie also included material from a court case in the UK where two teachers entered an an airforce base and smashed the instrument panels of several attack - sorry - "trainer" - aircraft destined for delivery to the Indonesian government. Parts of this documentary were shown to the jury and they were horrified to see what was happening and accquitted the defendants. This was a "blow" to both the UK and US govts.

Shortly prior to that, a guy from East Timor visited the US in an attempt to get the US govt to stop supplying arms to kill his people. This was a scheduled meeting arranged with Holbrooke, but he sat for two weeks in a Holiday Inn and no reply to his phone calls to the State Department.

It has recently been revealed in papers disclosed that Kissinger opposed contact and State were told to shut up. It was Kissinger who actually maniplulated this "arms deal", despite very loud memos from the State Dept that this was illegal.

That guy who ended up twiddling his thumbs in the Holiday Inn was eventually awarded the Nobel Peace prize.

The movie that was sceened in Boston area was given some award in Hollywood shortly afterwards.

Meanwhile... the scenario continues - these guys don't bother submitting material to the US media, since this is pointless. They are however highly respectly and screened/published in most other countries.

yeah its ok to put a chainsaw thru a guys head, but to beat a girls ass red is obscene.

its ok to go to war and kill multitudes of innocent people but to watch porn in your "home" on your "computer" is somehow a travesty.

the fuckers against pornography are mostly over 50 and cant get it up anyway so they see it a necessity to ruin everyones fun.

guess they think its all being spent by a minority of perverts,
when in reality middle america is eating it up so leave them the fuck alone.

they always throw in the children angle,
always trying to make porn non assessible to children,
                                                        which it should be.
But that is not an industry issue but a parenting issue.

                                                          DBW:

its ok to go to war and kill multitudes of innocent people but to watch porn in your "home" on your "computer" is somehow a travesty.
                                                          You said it!!!

When you show the "multitides" the end result of what "real war" is - it too much to bring into the confort zones of middle America.

People in power "need" to have "second chances", cos often there is not a "middle way", - but that time has long passed for the current US Admin.

If anything is "obscene" it's the conduct of those allegedly leading a nation. They are responsible for plently obscenity both at home and abroad.

Time for some "reality" to sink in!!

but comparing the porn model to a hollywood starlet who is getting tens of thousands for a simulated rape scene is apples to oranges.

here's what juries will see in upcoming porn cases in the states.

                                                            1. girls being tied up, slapped, pissed on, drinking urine, dental appliances in her teeth so she can't close her mouth while guys use her for a toilet.

                                                            2. girls gagging and vomiting from deep fellatio, tears in their eyes, snot running from their noses.

                                                            3. girls with all manner of appliances jammed into orifices, screwdrivers in vaginas.

                                                            4. girls drinking urine and vomiting, eating feces.

                                                            5. girls having needles stuck through sensitive body parts while they scream.

sure all of these girls sign releases.

and it will only take ONE of these girls to go away unhappy, say she was coerced, to put one of these producers in jail.

You have good points, all this girls choking on cocks and gagging. I shot a video for my friend and he had a friend of his who is a porn star do the scene. She was sucking 5 guys cocks and she was spitting ,gagging on these cocks. While I was filming I wanted to throwup watching and hearing this. Afterwards I asked my friend about her sucking style and he said thats the way they have them do it in LA. It was fucking gross.

When you think about the content you have , think about sitting in a courtroom and them showing it up on a screen to the jury . What is the juries reaction to your content, is it a smirk, is it distaste or is it shock and horror?

if you run an adult website i will offer some advice.

be responsible, get ICRA on your sites so people can setup filtering on their browsers so they don't need to see your stuff if they don't want it, so they can keep their kids off it.

and don't send porn through unsolicited email.

all attornies have gone to law school, even those working for the government.

and before law school they were college students, living in dorms and interacting with other college students.

prosecuting attornies already understand they will not be able to get a conviction for mainstream hardcore if college students are on a jury---not gonna happen.

and it will be virtually impossible to put together a jury in the USA today without young people and/or college students (or educated people) on the jury.

this is why a conviction for ordinary hardcore won't happen in the states, for any sort of consensual appearing sex: gay and lesbian sex included.

Just the process of a search warrent and invasion of your home, is enough to turn this whole industry upside down. If they just went after the top 20 sites and said ok all you guys show up in court and defend yourselves.. It would seriously put a huge damper on this whole biz. But the eropeans would own it all after that so....
