    Making obscene profits in the oil business.

    Sweet Profits on a contract to supply 1,500 tons of petroleum per day to the US Army in Kuwait via KBR (Kellogg Brown & Root i.e Halliburton).


    Altanmia Marketing Co. (the contract broker - does zero work, they just setup the deal)

    Daily Profit on contract $759,567.00


    Kuwait Petroleum Co. (the actual oil producing company)

    Daily Profit on contract. $386,910.00


    Then KBR adds their "let's fuck the US taxpayers even more" profit margin on top of these obscene profits to the final invoice going to the US Department of Defense.

              The most interesting part. Altanmia Marketing has no prior experience in the oil supply business. It was selected in a one day process in Kuwait with the US Army specifically requesting them. The Kuwaiti government all of a sudden said Altanmia is the only company authorized to sell Kuwaiti Oil into Iraq.

              Altanmia Marketing is owned by some powerful businessmen in Kuwait with close business ties to Bush family companies and the ruling Al Sabah family.

              And people wonder why we have wars.

                                                                                                      it says that the US is currently consuming around 20 million barrels of oil per day, with 12 million of that being imported (2001 stats). Total proven reserves are 22.45 billion barrels, so at 8 million barrels/day being pumped in the US, that's almost 3 billion barrels/year or only 8 years of supply left. A lot of geopolitics is explained if you believe those stats....

                                                                                                      However, folks were predicting that we'd run out of oil "in 10 years" 20 and 30 years ago.
