my buddy just reformatted his PC not long ago. he had bought WinXP Pro from the store for a ridiculous amount like 400 bucks or something.
and when he tried to reinstall it it told him his serial number had already been registered and he couldn't install windows.
took about 3 hours on the fone with MS to get them to release it so he could use it again.
fuck you bil gates.

that is why I have more than one machine. If one is down I don't have to worry. Just go from my laptop to my desktop, etc. When all else fails I use my desktop which has a dual boot.... winxp and mandrake linux..... never have a prob with linux....

ive got my stuff partioned up pretty well - o/s on the first 20gigs of my drive, all data on the other 180gigs...
ive learned the hard way about partitions - 20gigs isnt that bad to do... im just too lazy to get and install ghost on this and another puter i haveComment

Install windows and all drivers. Get Norton Ghost and make an image. If you need to reinstall it only takes 2 minutes to restore the image.
