    Chechen terrorists are moving to Iraq

    According to TIMES, Al Quaeda has appealed 1500..2000 Chechen terrorists to leave Russia and join Iraqi opposition.

    As far as I remember, some naive guy here has suggested conducting "free elections" especially for radical Islamic terrorists in Chechnya... Seems now it's time to move these elections to Iraq...

    Don't want to offend somebody here, but some people are too stupid and naive when they think that Chechen terror is just a rebellian war for "freedom" which is not related to terrorism and Al Quaeda.

      Nazis in WW2 also had called polish guerilla 'terrorist' and 'bandits' ,so on...
      Chechens are fighting for fredom of their country, and history shows that this fight is running from XVIII Century or even earlier .

                                  Oh I'm sure that Iraqis must be glad to loose even more of there independance. First the US comes to occupy them and then some groups come to screw things up even more. Seems like Iraq is not for Iraqis anymore.

                                                                          well, there are huge differences between the russian army and the american army.

                                                                          russian army is run by a bunch of fat generals driving mercedes 600's cause they steal so much from the russian people.

                                                                          russian soldiers are mostly young kids that have no choice being in the army to begin with.

                                                                          russian army is so poor that their equipment constantly breaks down, thus hindering their tactics (if the fat vodka-drinking generals ever put any thought into the war besides carpet bombing).

                                                                          there are so many differences, I could go on and on....

                                                                                          Mostly agree. 99.9% of Russian generals are fat degenerates who don't care about soldiers. Actually they care about their pockets and paunches only. But usually the poor, sore and unpretentious army can fight much better than well-equipped and satisfied one... Do you remember Vietnam? The same with Iraq. Do you know how many US soldiers shoot themselves just because they are used to live in more comfortable places, eat better food and just because they were not ready to fight and possibly be killed... The people who have nothing to lose usually fight much better, and course they do not to commit suicide... So not everything is so obvious as you may think...

Canada supplied 1,188 tanks, 842 armoured cars, nearly one million shells, and 208,000 tons of wheat and flour. The USSR depended on American trucks for its mobility since 427,000 out of 665,000 motor vehicles (trucks and jeeps) at the end of the war were of western origin.

                                                                                                                                                                                                  The USA supplied the USSR with 6,430 planes, 3,734 tanks, 104 ships and boats, 210,000 autos, 3,000 anti-aircraft guns, 245,000 field telephones, gasoline, aluminum, copper, zinc, steel and five million tons of food. This was enough to feed an army of 12 million every day of the war. Britain supplied 5,800 planes, 4,292 tanks, and 12 minesweepers. Canada supplied 1,188 tanks, 842 armoured cars, nearly one million shells, and 208,000 tons of wheat and flour. The USSR depended on American trucks for its mobility since 427,000 out of 665,000 motor vehicles (trucks and jeeps) at the end of the war were of western origin.
